Vinous Jason Wilson - 01 Jul 20
The 2018 Saumur Blanc Clos Romans comes from very dense tuffeau soil and was aged for 6 to 8 months in 5-hectoliter barrels. The nose is tropical and floral – mango and orange blossom — with an attractive wooliness. Full-bodied, but fresh and light on its feet. Flavors of tangerine and rosewater develop with hints of crush shell through to the long mineral finish.
